Plane of Valor

Overview

The Plane of Valor is a Tier 2 zone, requires completing Plane of Justice trial for access. The southern half of the zone is populated by undead, frogs, and a Knights of Marr camp. In the southwest is a cave system full of razorfiends. The center of the zone is another Knights camp separating the fields of the north with crystal spiders and lightcrawlers. At the far north is a locked turnstyle leading to the crystal dragon Aerin'Dar.

Rare Mobs

There are a handful of rare mobs in Plane of Valor, but most rarely drop loot and are only good for hunter.
A Diseased Guard
A rare undead that spawns in a hut near the west branch of river. Either he has no drops or they are very rare.
A Skeletal Guardian
A rare undead that spawns north of the zone in. Loot is uncommon.
Drops - Longbow of the Intrepid
Lieutenant Baelin Dwinn
A rare undead that spawns north of the zone in. Always drops Unwavering Shield of Faith for a quest that gives a very paultry amount of xp (requires 3 other drops). Actual loot is very rare.

An Undead Footman
A rare undead that spawns northwest of the zone in. Always drops Unwavering Sword of Faith for a quest that gives a very paultry amount of xp (requires 3 other drops). Actual loot is very rare.
Drops - Honorary Faceplate, Ornate Horn of the Valorous
An Undead Doorman
A rare undead that spawns all over the undead camps, loot is uncommon.
Drops - Girdle of the Jaded, Mask of Heroics
Sergeant Terrick Burns
A rare mounted undead that spawns northwest of the zone in.
Drops - Pauldrons of Heroics, Gold Runed Shirt
"a festering worm"
A rare worm that spawns in place of normal larve near the zone in and near the east branch of the river. Loot is uncommon.
Drops - Trinket of the Enlightened, Soldiers Practice Cudgel
a Lumbering Beast
A rare geonid that only spawns in the tunnels behind Aerin'Dar. Either it has no drops or they are very rare.
A Razorfiend Subjugator
A "rare" fungal fiend that spawns in the caves to the southwest. Loot is uncommon.
Drops - Guardians Token, Small Larvae Carapace
A Luminii Crawler
A rare bug that spawns in the northern expanse. Always drops Piece of the Crystalline Globe for the quest to reach Aerin'Dar. Other loot is uncommon.
Drops - Glassy Frog Eye, Forged Shoulderpads
A Traglimite Frog
A rare frog that spawns in many places along the river.

Events

The Sleep Walker
  • Size: 1-2 groups suggested
  • Respawn: About an hour (recent change)

Spawns deep in the caves to the southwest. Be careful of room mobs, they spawn close together, and watch for respawns. Otherwise watch for a small range AE slow and slog through his mound of hp. Drops a spell or two and one of the following:
Aerin'Dar access key
You must have completed a Justice Trial to take this step.

Start with Sergeant Johson Popoah at the Marr Knights camp. Hail him twice, then continue dialog and he will send you to chat with Paralin Notion. Follow his dialog and he will tell you about his company of troops and their bravery. If you wish to "aid the cause" you should speak with Master Sergeant Aaramis Daryln at the center of the zone. Tell Aaramis that "I am here to aid the cause" and he will laugh at you and send you back to Paralin. Tell Paralin "How shall I prove myself" and he'll send you to collect three hearts: Turn all three in to Paralin and he will say that now that you've proved yourself and should speak with the Master Sergeant.

Head back to Aaramis at the gatehouse. Now he will tell you all about Aerin'Dar, the Glass Dragon that the knights were sent here to destroy. But for more you need to go to Captain Ryglot Cupperhide (at the Marr Knights). Follow his dialog and he tells you the key to access Aerin'Dar has been broken into three parts, if you want to help you should collect them. Give all three to Ryglot and he will give you Crystalline Globe. This globe acts as the key to reach Aerin'Dar. This is NOT required for progression, but someone will need to do it to let the raid in.
Aerin'Dar

  • Respawn: 3 days

The big boss of Valor. Someone will need a key to open the door to reach him. Aerin'Dar casts PBAE fear that does 1200ish damage, DD + slow on tank, and a small dd with push on tank. Additionally golem adds spawn at certain health intervals, so have a team ready to root/snare them far enough away so they don't get hit by AE. When Aerin'Dar dies hail the Planar Projection for your flag. You can then follow the caves north to zone into Halls of Honor. Aerin'Dar drops a handfull of spells and two of the following:
