Quest giver: Widdlethorpe Gemfinder
Location: Stoneroot Falls
Requirements: The Search for Coral.
- Find an entrance to Korlach's lair (Stoneroot Falls)
- Search for a young witheran deep inside the lair
- Take control of the young witheran by using the coral
- Defend yourselfs from the witheran Protectors (4)
- Return to Widdlethorpe with the knowledge of the powers
Whoever requests the mission is given a Magical Corathus Coral. If others want one just in case they can tell Widdlethorpe "We will practice on something smaller" to get an extra. Head into the instance via Stoneroot Falls. This zone is a mixture of living (witheran and orcs) and undead (shilliskin) and traps. None of the trash respawn though. Clear everything towards the northern chamber just after the junction. In here you'll find "a young witheran", it will agro but you must NOT kill it. Walk around until you get the task update and then click your Magical Coral while targeting the young witheran to charm it (standard water/land rules apply so be sure you're both on land). Since this counts as a pet, Mages, Necros, and Beastlords will lose the ability to use their own pet if they charm it. Around a dozen mobs will spawn between you and the zone in (hence clearing everything). Fight your way back killing at least four of the Protectors. A chest will spawn at the zone in with your loot. After zoning out return to Widdlethorpe to complete the mission.
