Valley of Lunanyn - The Herald of Oratory

Quest giver - Zarbak
Request phrase: few
Entry phrase: go
Requirements: 10 Alaran, The Memory Remains, Into the Abyss

This mission is a form of the Tower Defense type games. Start by reading the dialog of Zarbak to get a feel for what this means. Then open the chest and take the 51 "marks of the gods". There are seven types of units you can purchase:

Name HP Damage Speed RangeCost
(1) Zek soldier Medium Low Medium Medium2 Marks
(2) Zek archer Low Very Low High Very High4 Marks
(3) Sol Ro fire lord Medium High Low High6 Marks
(4) Sol Ro dark smoker Medium Medium High Medium8 Marks
(5) Zek bruiser High Very High Low Medium7 Marks
(6) Sol Ro soother Very Low Healer High Very Low1 Marks
(7) Sol Ro ash breatherLow Slower Very Low Very Low9 Marks

Each one you purchase gives you a token, then go to where you want it on the field and click. The unit will appear. After you've bought and placed units, say "begin" to Zarbak to start the waves. As your forces kill things they drop chests you can loot containing marks to buy more units. If an enemy unit reaches the gods they do damage to their "concentration", which starts at 200. If it reaches 0 you lose and the event resets. The Herald of Oratory will roam a bit ending at a rock north of the gods. The herald has an aura that deals about 18k a tick to any nearby and you will need units to break down the shield. Once the shield is down you can put a tank on it and dps it down. It does cast Shimmering Sound Barrier on itself throughout the fight, a 50 pt ds and 15% chance to reflect spells. Once it is dead go back to the gods and open the chest to complete the mission.

There are many approaches to unit placement to defeat the raid. One way that seems to work well is to purchase 3 bruisers, 5 archers, and 8 healers. Close to the spot where the Herald ends up you'll place the 3 bruisers and 3 healers in triangular fasion (ie one north, one southeast, one southwest). Keep the bruisers very close to the rock to make sure they can hit the Herald and place the healers as close to bruisers as you can. This leaves 5 archer/healer pairs. You'll want to place these near the gods on the lines the enemy units follow in order to protect them. This leaves you with 2 marks left over. While the Herald is roaming towards the rock you can kill off any enemy units (use range dps), loot their chest, and buy some extras if you wish. Placing a bruiser or even a soldier at each archer/healer pair will make sure they survive long enough. Once the Herald reaches the rock watch for the shield to drop, then charge in and beat it down.

The chest contains one spell and one of the following:
