Raid Progression

Raid progression in Veil of Alaris is tracked via a Record. On your first victory of any raid you are granted a Record of Tales. After each raid win (including your first) you will have about 30 minutes to click your Record in the raid instance to add experience to it. You MUST be in the instance and have the lockout for this to work, additionally raids will only allow 54 people to gain experience to prevent any attempts to accelerate the rate of gain. After a certain amount of experience the Record will evolve to the next level granting you access to the next tier or set of raids. The amount of experience gained and required is dependant on the level of your Record and the tier of raid completed. If the raid tier is less than your Record, it adds no experience (i.e. you can't do tier 1 raids to evolve your Record from level 2 to level 3). If your Record is equal to the tier of raid it gains "standard" experience as shown below:

With a fresh Record of Tales it takes 3 tier 1 raid completions to get Record of Stories.
With a fresh Record of Stories it takes 9 tier 2 raid completions to get the Record of Lore.
With a fresh Record of Lore it takes 13 tier 3 raid completions to get the Record of Fables.
With a fresh Record of Fables it takes 3 non-sepulcher tier 4 raid completition to get the Record of Legends.

If the Record is of lower level than the tier of raid (you were 85'd in) the Record gains extra xp, from double if it is one step higher to triple if you completed a Sepulcher raid with a Record of Tales. This will allow guilds to rather easily backflag people who are either new recruits or have lower raid attendance and missed a few kills. For example, a guild that is farming Sepulcher gets a recruit with no Record. After the first Sepulcher event the recruit's Record will evolve to Record of Stories (since he got triple credit and needed 3 points). The next 4 events should evolve it to Record of Lore. If they then do Pillars, Windsong, and City of Bronze, the Record of Lore will be half way evolved. By the next week's full Tier 4 clear it should evolve all the way to Record of Legends and the recruit will no longer be a raid-in.

Only the requester of the raid will need all prior events in order to get the raid, the rest only need an appropriate level journal to attend. Standard raid-in, or 85'd, rules apply to the journals. For tier 4 the requester must have Pillars to request Windsong, Windsong to request City of Brass, and all 3 to request Sepulcher.

On progression servers the rate that the Records gain experience is accelerated, but the extent and rate of increase is dependent on the server's unlock speed.
