Ruined City of Dranik

Overview

The Ruined City of Dranik is mid-level range for the expansion. Rares here drop gear that is either Recommended 60 or Recommended 66 with those that drop the 66s also dropping the quest armor pieces (no legs or chest). In addition to the rares there are 3 zonewide rare drops:

There are a pair of quests given by Jurrock for folks with Warmly or better faction. Grand Historian Rygua offers access to the Catacombs and Sewers instances. And there a few stand alone raids ranging from 150 hp up to 200 hp gear. The only exit is back to The Bloodfields.

This ukun spawns and despawns at intervals around the zone and is considered a "zone sweeper". It hits for over 2000, flurries, and casts:

This murkglider spawns and despawns at intervals around the zone and is considered a "zone sweeper". It hits for about 1600, quads, and casts:

Jurrock's Tapestries

Jurrock wants the return of 3 tapestries from his home, taken by the muramites. They are all random drops in the catacombs instances. It is known they drop in the 68+ version of Catacomb C, but may drop from others as well:

Raids

Lirah the Bridgekeeper

Lirah is rooted in place, doesn't summon, and fairly resistant. While agro it casts four spells:

Lirah also has 2 bodyguards, Dragorn Protectors. They are rather resistant, hit for around 1k, and can respawn if killed. If someone has failed the raid there may be an extra pair of bodyguards. Your best bet here is to pull the bodyguards and lock them down (mez or offtank). Debuff Lirah and treat as a max range fight with a knight 'tank'. Keep your raid outside the AE range as best as you can and take it down with nukes and arrows.

Once defeated it has a roughly 48 hour respawn. Drops 2 spell runes and 1 of the following:




Kyv Sharpshooter trio

This raid involves three Kyv Sharpshooters; Jaeth, Mihl, and Nass. The three are agro linked so you can't attack one without agro'ing the others. They start the fight rooted in place, hit for around 1700, summon, and cast two spells:

Once they are low health (or when only one left?) they are no longer rooted. Your best bet here is to pull ALL the trash in the area first to prevent any adds and have a knight keep range agro on two of them away from main raid force with dedicated healers to soak up their arrows while the rest of the raid focuses on taking down the first. When it dies move to the second, then third.

Once the third is defeated the event has a roughly 48 hour respawn. Drops 2 spell runes and 1 of the following:




Tiorpat Tornwing

Tiorpat spawns surrounded by a mixture of blue and red colored guards. Start by pulling and clearing all the reds, normal zone trash. Then pull Tiorpat. He hits for near 2k but no spells (need confirmation). Every 30 seconds or so he will call for help and one of the blue colored dragorn will activate and attack. These are very resistant but it is possible to mez them. If you have enough dps just burn Tiorpat down and the adds will despawn when it dies. If not kill each add as they spawn and when all dead take Tiorpat down.

Once defeated it has a roughly 48 hour respawn. Drops 2 spell runes and 1 of the following:




Battlemaster Rhorious

This raid consists of 6 mobs. At the start it is just Rhorious. It hits for around 3k and will cleanse itself and allies so be aware of debuffs being cured. After roughly 90 seconds Ixt Imnes the Ironhoof will activate and attack the raid. She hits for 1500 but frequently casts Bone Strike, a 4k dd and 6 second stun and will occasionally mem blur. Roughly 60 seconds later Ikaav Salisa Mexmielk becomes active and attacks. She also hits for 1500 and mem blurs frequently. Roughly 60 seconds later 3 Frenetic Groundpounder will activate and attack. These hit less, just 700, but proc Groundpound, a targeted AE dealing 500 damage and gravity flux.

Your best bet here is to pull Rhorious and start dps. When the Ixt goes active have a kite team keep her busy (keep them healed, the 4k nuke adds up). Keep dps on Rhorious, when Ikaav spawn have the kite team pick her up too being mindful of memblur. Comtinue dps and pick up the Golems when they spawn. Be sure to keep them far away so the flux doesn't interrupt healers. When Rhorious dies bring the golems in one at a time, then the ixt, then the ikaav. Once all are defeated a chest spawns with the loot. The event has a roughly a 3 day respawn. Chest contains 2 spell runes and 2 of the following:




Zun`Muram Volklana

Volklana begins the fight rooted in place surrounded by mukgliders. At the start he doesn't summon, hits for 2200, flurries, and casts Zun`Muram`s Terror, a 5 minute 95% melee slow, silence, and snare. He is also evidently immune to archery damage, so nukes and pets are all you got. When he reaches 84% things change, his melee is the same but he is no longer rooted, starts to summon, no longer casts Terror and instead gains:

Your best bet here is to pull all the trash out, kill them, and quickly engage to reduce the chance of respawns mid fight. Set up your nukers at max range and throw every pet you got: swarms, cleric hammers, shaman dogs while you nuke it down. Have a knight casting range agro spells and when it hits 84% send in a war with AE taunt. At this point have all melee go full bore dps disc before the endurance drain can steal it. Keep AE/group heals going and get it dead before the dozen murkgliders respawn.
