Muramite Proving Grounds

Overview

The Proving Grounds is a maze-like zone of corridors with multiple dead ends. Rares here drop gear that is either Recommended 66 which is attuneable or Recommended 68 which is no drop. In addition to the rares there are 3 zonewide rare drops:

There are 6 Projections at various dead ends, these give both the group Trial instances as well as the raid Trials required for Anquish access. The zone in from Wall of Slaughter is on the south end and the entrance to Riftseekers' Santcum is in the center of the maze.

Rare Mobs

Aneuk Tyrannist
PH is a static mob in the center of his room but can be many different types. Hits for up to 1200 and casts:

Static spawn point in the middle ofthe intersection. Hits for up to 1200 and casts:
Drops - Soul-Imbued Ring, Veintapper's Stone

Events

Each of the six trials gives an aa which raises your max resist level by 8. If you get all six completed you gain a bonus 2 raising your resist cap a total of 50. Initiating a trial gives a 2 hour lockout and winning the trial gives a 3 day lockout.

Trial of Destruction

Trigger: Projection of Power
Faction required: none
Reward: 1 loot, chance at 1 spell, resist cap aa

Tell the Projection of Power "destruction" to get your instance, zone in, and when set tell the Master of Destruction "ready". This starts a 15 minute timer, with the Master giving a countdown as you go. Waves of mobs will spawn 1-3 at a time and you must kill at least 20 before the 15 minutes are up. The mobs are relatively weak, hitting for about 500 max and just over 30k hp. When the countdown reaches 30 seconds, provided you've killed enough, the Master becomes active. Pull him ASAP as the longer it remains unagro the more it powers up. The Master hits for upwards of 2000. Once the master is dead you can /open the "Shell of the Master" to get your reward.




Trial of Efficiency

Trigger: Projection of Arcana
Faction required: none
Reward: 1 loot, chance at 1 spell, resist cap aa

Tell the Projection of Arcana "efficiency" to get your instance, zone in, and when set tell the Master of Efficiency "begin". You are immediatly hit with an unresistable AE, Test of Efficiency. This reduces your max mana and endurance by 3500, cuts your max health in half, and drains hp, mana, and endurance by 20 per tick. During the event you will face 4 waves of 4 mobs every 4 minutes. The mobs are pretty weak, hit about 500 with around 40k health. The "muramite soldiers" are mezzable (and charmable), the rest are not. After the final wave the Enforcer of Efficiency will spawn, hitting for about 1500. Once the enforcer is dead you can /open the "Shell of the Master" to get your reward.




Trial of Fear

Trigger: Projection of Mind
Faction required: none
Reward: 1 loot, chance at 1 spell, resist cap aa

Tell the Projection of Mind "fear" to get your instance, zone in, and when set tell the Master of Fear "begin". The trial lasts for 15 minutes. Mobs will spawn 4 at a time every few minutes and they will either be "a fearless xyz" or not. The fearless variety hit for around 1200 with about 40k health. The others have a boatload of health, but they take massive damage whenever they are feared. Kill at least 16 (?) and survive till the end to win. Once the last wave is dead you can /open the "Shell of the Master" to get your reward.




Trial of Ingenuity

Trigger: Projection of Realms
Faction required: none
Reward: 1 loot, chance at 1 spell, resist cap aa

Tell the Projection of Realms "ingenuity" to get your instance, zone in, and when set tell the Master of Ingenuity "begin". As soon as you start the Master will attack. It hits for around 2k and is immune to both melee damage and all spells except disease based. For melee to do damage you need to kill the dragorns around the room and loot special bane weapons (like Suffusive Warhammer), but the weapons don't last forever. After a short time they will "break" and disappear forcing you to get new ones. The weapons can be clicked to deal 800 damage as well, however the Master will occasionally put up a reflective aura so casters need to watch for that. Pets (and mercs) deal full damage, thrown damage may also land for full. Once the Master is dead you can /open the "Shell of the Master" to get your reward.




Trial of Subversion

Trigger: Projection of Tactics
Faction required: none
Reward: 1 loot, chance at 1 spell, resist cap aa

Tell the Projection of Tactics "subversion" to get your instance, zone in, and when set tell the Master of Subversion "begin". During this event 3 type of chests will spawn that need to be disarmed and opened:

For the casters and priests you will need to use the LDoN chest spells. Each chest contains a medal, Copper is worth 10 points, Silver is worth 20, and Gold is worth 30. Your goal is to get 300 points before a 15 minute timer is up. While opening chests a number of "a dragorn patroller" roam the area. These hit for 500 with about 40k health and can drop Copper medals, but you are better off casting a pacify line spell on them while your group opens chests. Once you reach 300 points the roamers despawn and the Master and two guards become active. The guardians are about the same as the patrollers while the Master hits for about 2k. Once the Master is dead you can /open the "Shell of the Master" to get your reward.




Trial of Weaponry

Trigger: Projection of Body
Faction required: none
Reward: 1 loot, chance at 1 spell, resist cap aa

Tell the Projection of Body "weaponry" to get your instance, zone in, and when set tell the Master of Weaponry "begin". In this trial you have 15 minutes to defeat 4 mobs, each hitting under 2k, one at a time. The order they activate is random:

All four types take full damage from pets (and mercs?). Reports say Hand to Hand damage from monk/beastlord is not mitigated at all either. Once all four are dead you can /open the "Shell of the Master" to get your reward.
