Fanning the Flames

Here you face the mighty dragon Tirranun. On the way to him levitation is removed. The event consists of three phases.

In the first phase Tirranun hits for around 2600 max and every 40 seconds will banish someone into the lava. Nothing else special, just beat him down to 0.

When he hits 0 Tirranun crumbles, goes non-agro, and starts to regen. At this point you start getting dervish adds, "whorl of searing ashes". These adds hit for around 900, can be mezzed, and proc a blind. As Tirranun regens the spawn rate for adds gets faster until they are spawning every 15 seconds.

When Tirranun reaches around 85% he gets back up and attacks. He buffs with Form of Lava which adds a defensive 3k proc. This buff needs to be dispelled and watch for it to be reappied. His max melee goes down to around 2100 but picks up two AEs:

• Breath of Tirranun - 1500 dd and 500 dot, 50 poison counters
• Tirranun's Incinerating Aura - 2250 dd and 750 dot, 99 poison counters

It is possible that the stronger AE is cast at lower health, if so unsure where the transition happens.

The reward for killing Tirranun is 5 crystals each and three of the following:

• Scorched Green Metal Visor
• Russet Rockscale Armguards
• Hands of Flame
• Blackened Sandals
• Glimmering Fire Opal Band
• Brimstone Spaulders
• Smoldering Claw of Tirranun
• Ashen Blade of the Slayer
