Deserting The Ranks

- Enter the Nargilor Pits of Illsalin (Ruins of Illsalin)
- Place the Deserter's Shoulder Guard on a Shiliskin Corpse
- Take a Captain's Insigina as Proof of Your Delivery
- Deliver the Captain's Insignia to Zahn
Zahn gives the requester a Shiliskin Heirloom Shoulder Guard. When you have the mission head into the instance via the Ruins of Illsalin. Your first goal is to locate an ornate chest which can spawn in one of four locations (see map below). This chest contains Carved Nargil Triangle which is a key you will need. After acquiring the key make your way south to find Guardian of the Pit. Not much more difficult than normal trash, kill it and use the Triangle to unlock the door. Once inside an emote will go off and the door locks, so be sure everybody is inside. Give the Shoulder Guard to any of the corpses in the room and an untargetable Emperor Draygun will walk around the room reanimating the corpses. Kill these as fast as possible to prevent getting swarmed under. After about a dozen you will get three at once; a Captain and two Legionnaires. If you wipe during this portion this mission is lost as the door can not be opened again. The captain will drop Shiliskin Captain's Insignia and your loot for the mission. Return the Insignia to Zahn to complete the mission.
Upon completion you also get Gemstone of Emperor Draygun for a quest and Golden Shiliskin Tentacle Ring for Dreadspire Access.
