3 - Solving Linear Equations

This chapter is all about solving a single linear equation, which is an equation containing a variable that is raised to the first power, does not appear in a denominator, inside a root, or within absolute value lines. It begins with solving containing just addition and subtraction, then those with multiplication and division, and those with a mix of all four operations. Next up is handling cases with the variable on both sides of the equation and a brief look at how linear equations fit into word problems as well as working with decimals and rounding. The chapter closes with a look at formulas (like converting Celsius to Fahrenheit), rates, ratios, and percents.
