Txevu, Lair of the Elite

Introduction

Txevu is not a raid instance, but it offers nothing in terms of single group content so I've included it in the list anyway. You will need the Cipher of Txevu to gain entry. Some of the raids are required to obtain keys to other portions of the zone while some are purely optional targets of opportunity. At a minimum you'll need to complete the Gladiator Pit event to get a Polished Stone Key. This will give you access to the High Priest event to get Jade Inlaid Key. This opens the door to the Zun`Muram event for the Zun'Muram's Signet of Command. The Signet is required to trigger a Tacvi raid instance. Since each raid kill only results in a single key/signet you'll probably want to do each a few times so you aren't dependent on one person being present every time.

Trash in the zone can rarely drop augments based on their race:

The Gladiator Pit

In order to trigger this event Mastruq Champion must be up. If it is when you enter the pit the Champion will have a taunting dialog with the crowd. At the end of his little speech he challenges you to kill The Runt in solo combat. Only one person then engages The Runt, it hits about 600 and has low health. Nobody can heal or help, including pets, or "bad things happen". Once the Runt dies Ixt Hsek Syat spawns and both she and the Mastruq Champion attack. The Mastruq hits for around 3k, single and AE rampage, no spells. Ixt Hsek Syat hits harder, around 4k, single rampage, flurry, procs Trample, a 175 dd and stun and casts Vengeance of the Ixt an AE 3k dd with flux.

Focus dps on the Mastruq first and then take the Ixt down. At 90% she'll summon 3 gladiator adds which hit 1500ish, but can be locked down with mez. At 15% she'll summon the Mastruq if it is still alive and they will lock targets, which is why you kill it first. Once the Ixt dies clean up the adds.

The event drops a single Polished Stone Key and 2 of the following:

High Priest Nkosi Bakari

Beyond the door locked by the Polished Stone Key is a series of caves. In various chambers around them are 5 "Vrex Invoker" encounters, each with a contingent of 'Tiv Prayer Chanter'. The chanters hit for nearly 2k with 3 effects:

The chanters can be mezzed and should be locked down. Each Vrex Invoker hits for 2500 and casts a specific spell: Move through the caves dispatching each Vrex Invoker and its chanters. When they die they become a non-agro ghost and path to the High Priest's chamber to the northeast. When all are done med up and prepare for the boss fight.

When you engage High Priest Nkosi Bakari the 5 ghosts activate and attack as well. The ghosts, "Shade of a Vrex Invoker", only hit for 500 however they proc Spiritual Possession, a lengthy charm and sizeable damage boost. When the charm wears off the Shade despawns, respawns, and moves on to another target. The High Priest meanwhile hits for almost 3k and casts Wrath of Trushar, an AE which does 3k damage, 500 dot, spell slow, melee slow, and snare. When you bring it down to 50% it aborbs one of the Shades and goes back to 100%. You'll need to bring it to 50% five times to absorb all the Shades before finally being able to kill it.

The event drops a single Jade Inlaid Key and 2 of the following:

The Aneuks

Just west of the gladiator pit are two rooms with a named Aneuk in each. They are very similar and usually done back to back.

Aneuk Nyrt Ymosa is in the north chamber. It only hits for 900, but hits fast and flurries. Casts Visions of Pain, an AE debuff that doubles casting time, debuffs attack, reduces all stats by 250, and is a 1k dot. It lasts 5 minutes, takes 45 curse counters to clear after the fight.

Aneuk Rilst Uskst is in the south chamber. it only hits for 900, but hits fast and flurries. Casts Visions of Chaos, an AE charm that lasts 24 seconds. Make sure your magic resist is maxed out.

Each Aneuk only drops a single piece of loot from the following:

Ukun Bloodfeaster

Clear all trash out of the large room outside the Ukun's room, med up, and when ready click the door. You will get a total of 16 mobs at once:

Ukun Bloodfeaster
The main boss. Hits for just over 2k, flurries, immune to mez and stuff. it casts Corrupted Laceration, a single target 1k dd, melee slow, and 350 dot.
3x ukun mauler
These hit for 1300 and flurry as well. They cast Ukun Chains, a single target snare, and may proc Corrupted Laceration as well. These are mezzable and should be locked down.
12x stonemite corpseburrower
These little guys have very low health, hit for about 1k, and can be stunned and mezzed. They proc Stonemite Acid, a small dd and dot.
As long as the Bloodfeaster is alive you get an additional dozen stonemites roughly once a minute. Have your enchanters keep them and the maulers contained while the raid burns down the Bloodfeaster. The adds don't despawn so once the boss is dead pull out the maulers one at a time, then AE down the stonemites.

The Ukun Bloodfeaster drops two of the following:

Ancient Cragbeast Matriarch

There are 9 mobs involved in this event:

Ancient Cragbeast Matriarch
The big boss. Rooted in place, hits for a base of 2400 but everything else about it varies (see below).
2x Mastruq Beast Warden
These guys are not rooted and hit 1900. They will respawn at normal zone rate, so be mindful of how long you spend on the event.
6x Bearer of XYZ
There are 12 types of Bearers that can spawn in the 6 locations. They are rooted in place, hit 1800ish, but don't summon. When killed a random Bearer will respawn in its place in about 5 minutes. Each type enhances the Cragbeast in a specific way:
  • Absorbtion - Reduces melee damage by 75%
  • Anger - Gives single target rampage
  • Haste - Gives the ability to flurry
  • Intensification - Increases damage by 500 and can strike through defensives
  • Mending - Increases regen
  • Nascency - Spawns 3 hatchling adds every 30 seconds. Adds have low health, hit 750ish, proc a stun, and are mezzable
  • Projection - The cragbeast will cast a 3k AE dd
  • Quickening - Increases her attack speed
  • Rage - Gives the ability to AE Rampage
  • Reflection - Buffs the cragbeast with a 100% spell reflect. Can be dispelled, but recast every 30 seconds
  • Resistance - Buffs the cragbeast's spell resists significantly
  • Shielding - Adds a 200 point damage shield. Can be dispelled, but recast every 30 seconds
When you trigger the event you'll want to take out the Mastruqs quickly, as well as any Bearers that run counter to your raid makeup. If you are caster heavy, be sure to get rid of reflection and resistance. If melee heavy take out absorbtion and rage. Once you have the Mastruqs down and any major nuisance bearers killed, move on to the Matriarch. Keep an eye out for Bearer respawns in case a bad one pops and watch the clock for Mastruqs. When the Matriarch is dead everything stops respawning so clean up the leftovers.

Ancient Cragbeast Matriarch drops two of the following:

The Goats

Behind the Cragbeast event you will find Ixt Kial Ivesi and Ixt Quall Nalnn in their own rooms. They are pretty much the same, hitting for 4500, immune to slow, seems to ignore riposte discs, and can alternate between Flurry and AE Rampage. Their only spell is the standard Ixt Trample, a 175dd and stun.

Each Ixt drop one item from the following:

Ikaav Nysf Lleiv

This encounter consists of 14 mobs, all rooted in place:

Ikaav Nysf Lleiv
The main target. Hits for around 2400 and flurries. She casts to AEs, Curse of Flames which is a 5k dd, 1k dot, and spell slow and Malicious Intent which is a 1k dot with snare, atk and stat debuff, and reduces spell damage.
3x Vrex Stonemaster
These begin the event unattackable. Each Stonemaster will summon an Onyx golem add every 30 seconds. The golems hit for 1500 and are very very resistant especially to disease and poison.
10x apprentices
These are a mix of ikaavs or aneuks. The aneuks will heal and buff while the ikaavs will summon standard ikaav short duration pets and cast nukes. They can flurry for up to 1100 but don't have too much hp. They will respawn over time, but it takes a while.
When Nysf Lleiv hits 75%, 50%, and 25% a Stonemaster will lose its "shield" and become attackable. They have a chunk of health, but they don't fight back. At low health the Ikaav will also begin casting the occasional one minute charm.

How to approach the fight depends on your raid makeup. You can go full burn on the Ikaav, kiting any golem adds and ignoring apprentices and stonemasters, you can kill all the apprentices first, you can kill the stonemasters each 25% to reduce the number of golems, it is up to you. The stonemasters will stop spawning adds afterward, any golems still alive do not despawn though.

Ikaav Nysf Lleiv drops two of the following:

Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk

To reach the final event room you will need a Jade Inlaid Key from the High Priest. When you enter you will face 7 mobs:

4x Ikaav Ritualist
These are rooted in place and will periodically summon random trash from the zone and occasionally "a mastruq chaosslayer", which can be charmed. The can hit as high as 1500 if you get close.
2x Inquisitor
Ixt models which hit for 1500 and have normal ixt abilities.
Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk
The big boss. Hits for almost 3k, AE Rampages, flurries, and casts Wanton Destruction, a 4k dd, 1k mana drain, 500 dot, 100 mana/tick loss, attack and ac debuff. 36 curse counters, so rough to cure. He is also totally immune to all player damage.
During the fight Zun`Muram will banish random people to one of the two jail cells. To escape to cell requires a rogue with decent pick lock skill, and you only have 25 seconds to escape. Take any longer and a pack of ghosts spawn and obliterate you.

Zun`Muram's immunity can only be circumvented to pets, damage shields, or mercs. As such all pet classes should focus on the Zun, enchanters should be charming any "a mastruq chaosslayer" spawned by the ritualists, and everybody else should focus on the two ixt Inquisitors and all other trash summoned. Two rogues should be on jail duty and stay off agro to avoid getting banished themselves while whoever has the Jade key should chill by the door, off agro, to let folks in.

Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk drops a Zun`Muram`s Signet of Command used to request the Tacvi raid, 1-3 Shard of Dark Matter for Breakdown in Communications, and four of the following:
